"Let us be, first and above all, kind, and then honest, and then let us never forget each other." - Fyodor Dostoevsky.

In brief: Dumaguete born, Cleveland raised. Brown 2014. Inspiration finds me in rooftops, igloos, and sun-struck water; architecture, literature, and social sciences; warm hearts and kind faces. I live for a freer world.

Having worked in Rio de Janeiro this past summer, writing articles and mapping issues and assets of traditionally neglected favela communities, I've come to find my nebulous interests in human development, community mobilization, urbanization, and human rights anchored to a more concrete realm of experiences, in the struggles nestled between the constant music of the favela hillsides and the absurdly beautiful views that the Cidade Maravilhosa provides.
