Emily Kirkland

I'm a rising junior concentrating in Economics and Latin American studies. Although I'm interested in environmental issues in general, I've always been particularly fascinated by climate change. Global warming is one of the most urgent problems facing the world today, and it touches upon everything from atmospheric physics to international relations. Last December, I traveled to Cancun with a Brown delegation in order to blog about the UN climate negotiations. This summer, I'll be making my way to Peru, where I'll be researching adaptation to climate change in local communities.
