The Global Conversation is an online media platform for Brown University students, faculty, and alums to share their international ideas and initiatives.
Since leaving my small hometown in the midwestern United States, I have studied anthropology, history and politics. Specifically while in Holland, I studied gender and urban space, which prepared me for my research under Professor Lutz on the political economy and culture of the car around the globe. I will be continuing this research in the summer of 2012 on-site in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
My specific areas of interest include the sociology and history of labor, gender and sexuality, resistance movements, mobility, urbanism and community organizing.
