Creative Posters Recognized for First International Day of Sport for Development and Peace

In celebration of the first International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP), a creative poster contest was organized throughout the month of April, and 88 posters were submitted from youth, student and adult participants around the world.

Posters were encouraged to share messages that related to the five key messages for the IDSDP -- power of sport to (1) promote respect and dialogue (2) enhance life skills of children and youth (3) include everyone, regardless of abilities (4) improve physical and mental health (5) advance gender equality.

We are thrilled to share the 12 posters that have been selected for special recognition by a global review panel of sport for development and peace stakeholders, and we wish to celebrate all of the amazing posters from around the world.
